Staff were copying details from invoices into the payment system. I built a tool that scanned each invoice, extracted the data and prepared a file the payments team could import.

The estimated saving in manual labour was $350,000–$400,000.

A game starts well before the puck drops. I brought shift schedules, attendance and payroll into one view so the operations team could see what each event cost, from setup through overtime.

I worked with HR and finance to make sure the calculations reflected union pay rules.

At OpenText, I followed a candidate through the recruiting process and found steps teams were repeating by hand. I used Avature to automate those steps and built reports recruiters could use to see where applications stalled.

At IBM, I helped recruiting teams adapt similar systems to the way they hired.

Separating the Canadian business from a shared Workday system meant untangling the information behind each paycheque. I mapped missing time entries, payroll IDs and reporting relationships into the new setup.

Managers could use their own approval workflows while time and payroll data continued to move between systems.

A renewal notice tells you when a contract ends. It rarely tells you whether anyone is still using what it pays for. I brought purchasing records, contract data and hardware use into a single view for TD’s procurement team.

That work helped TD avoid more than $1.9 million in unnecessary renewals.

I took a Shopify app from its first requirements through testing and a live listing. Working at that scale meant owning the small decisions too: what had to ship, what could wait and which edge cases to test.

Another independent build applied that same approach to automating work in Gmail.

A warehouse count and a purchasing report describe the same stock in different ways. I worked with warehouse and finance teams to reconcile inventory, then combined delivery data in a dashboard they could use to follow shipments.

The warehouse tracked more than 134,000 SKUs. Its inventory count matched the fiscal audit in full.

I worked with HR teams to trace vacation and absence records from older systems into Workday. We cleaned up the data and rebuilt the reporting so staff could answer a question without assembling another spreadsheet.

Preparing the vacation report took 75% less time.

I brought vendor spend, contract renewals and supplier measures into Power BI. I traced the numbers back through the purchasing systems so finance could use the dashboard in a supplier negotiation.

The dashboard gave executives a view of $50 million in annual procurement spending.

At Tim Hortons locations, I helped turn voice-order data into a way of studying the drive-through. I tested how conversations moved from cloud storage into reporting models so the team could examine ordering patterns.

The testing covered data from more than 50 Canadian drive-throughs.
