If you don’t know, now you know.
I believe some of you are aware that Jay-Z had a consecutive 8 show performance at Barclays Center, for bringing the Nets to his hometown Brooklyn. During one of his shows, he had given a motivational speech which I had found really inspiring. I probably have one of Jay’s biggest music catalogs from his unreleased verses, freestyles to mixtapes. I have taken each of his verses into deep understanding and his music does mean a lot to me. I was particularly a big fan of this speech he gave before one of his songs, and for some reason it really stuck to me. I don’t know if it is because I may have felt the same way, or it is something that is really genuine and true, but it is something that was worth sharing. He has always been a man of smart remarks, but I will definitely won’t forget this one out of any of his other speeches.
King 8Show…HO.. you should know by now.
Since it is Ramadan, and I don’t really indulge in movies or music. This was something constructive that I was watching today. It seems long, but it is such a good interview. The best thing about Foundation interviews that I love is that, they actually focus on the foundation of the entrepreneur and the company. The background story, the area they were raised in, the schools they went to, the places they worked, the relationships they had, and how it all ties into their entrepreneurial venture. This really helps someone understand how the company actually came about. People don’t just wake up with an idea and funding on their table, there is a lot more building that goes into formulating that business into a successful model. Watch this if you do have 45 minutes to spare. I guarantee you will be motivated to do something. If not, watch it again.
I have been looking for this video for a while now. I came across this again. This is one of the most realest advice the internet has ever blessed me with. I am pretty sure a lot of you have already seen this video, if not, you should give this a shot. You will literally learn a life lesson from this one minute video, you could trust me with that.
Apparently, this guy took Nike’s cash for an advertisement he was supposed to shoot and traveled the world instead, on their budget. I personally think it was a smart and intentional marketing move by Nike, but regardless this guy is my hero. 10 days though, I don’t know how much you could enjoy the world in 10 days. Either way, he made one hell of a movie.

WOW. This video gave me shivers. This is home to me, and I am dying to go back here. Video was shot by Philip Bloom, who has much more great artistic work under his Vimeo portfolio. Be sure to check him out.
